Time and time again I get involved with a blog and wind up completely forgetting about it and tossing it to the side. It's something I really like the thought of doing but just never seem to actually sit down and write something. I don't want every Blog post I make to just be a short insert about what I'm up to. Yeah that's fine, but I want my blog to have more than that. I'm really hoping in the next couple of weeks to start updating here more with all of the following: Personal updates, updates on ARDBZ progress, and reviews of Anime's and Manga's.

Wow...Been Too Long

Geez, almost 2 months without a update here. I kinda forgot about this >.<

Anyway I'm getting to work on ARDBZ50, which will be the Christmas Special. Hopefully I can record for it tomorrow. Also, there will be a SUPER SPECIAL GUEST!!!

On Wednesday, Ryan and I will be recording the next Lupin Podcast. The Episode will be a discussion on what has got to be the most serious Lupin film. Dead or Alive, the 1996 Movie. In addition, my sister Jackie will also be appearing on the Podcast. She will watch the Movie and we will get her view. Being that her only exposure to Lupin is through Adult Swim's run of 26 Episodes of the Red Jacket series, a much more comedic series. I'm curious to see what she thinks of a more serious toned Lupin. She will be watching Dead or Alive with me tomorrow night.

W00T!!! The Giants won today, awesomeness. Though the Jets lost :(. But, that's ok, the Giants are my favorite team...Anyways...I recorded all of my lines for Lupin III Y on Saturday as planned. But I won't be getting to ARDBZ tomorrow like I hoped. I was planning on doing all of the clips tonight and getting the Video ready to be Dubbed. But I'm just too damn tired right now so, yeah...Now I'm shooting for recording on Tuesday. Though, I've still got some fun stuff to do tomorrow anyway. Ryan & I will be recording a Lupin Has 3 Jackets Episode tomorrow night. We'll be discussing Funimation's handling of the franchise with their Dubs of 8 TV Specials & 2 Movies. Wow, my mic arrived today. I really didn't expect it until tomorrow. So yay...Like I said in the last Blog Post from last night. I'm gonna record my lines for Lupin III Y tomorrow and then do ARDBZ Episode 45 on Monday. Back To Work Soon

Ah, it's been so long since I've recorded anything...As you may know from a recent Video of mine on YouTube, I finally ordered my new microphone. It should be arriving either tomorrow (Er...well...Today since it's past midnight) or Saturday. Most likely Saturday though. Either way I'll most likely begin recording my lines for the first Chapter of Lupin III Y on Saturday and record my lines for ARDBZ Episode 45 on Monday.

Anyway, I don't think I mentioned this yet, but I was lucky enough to come across someone on the Lupinthethird.net Forums who offered to mail me the remaining 5 Lupin TV Specials I haven't seen. Since they're not licensed in America and the download links to their Fan Subs were not working, I asked if anywhere knew some other places I could download them. MC_Carter on the Forums offered to send them to me on a DVD through the mail and I of course accepted. The DVD arrived 2 days ago and I'm loving them. The Specials included are:

IN ADDITION, I also was able to find an old VHS of the last (Animated) Lupin Movie I have not seen, "Legend of the Gold of Babylon". It's the only Pink Jacket movie made and was released in the USA back in 1998. But it was never Dubbed, it got a Sub Only release. Though the company who released it also released "The Plot of the Fuma Clan" and that one DID recieve a Dub. But they didn't feel like paying the money to Dub both. Oh well, not a huge loss, I wasn't a fan of the Cast of the Fuma Dub anyway, even though the Japanese version used a different cast as well (The only time ever besides the Original Anime Pilot). But that's another story for another time, lol. Regardless, I would have purchased both a Sub VHS & a Dub VHS of Babylon if there was a Dub.

I've rambled long enough I think, lol. Bottom line is, once Babylon arrives, I'll have seen every Lupin Movie, TV Special, & OVA except for the Live Action Movie & the 2008 Special (Which has yet to receive a Sub). Now we've just got to get some Subs of the remaining Red Jacket TV Series & Pink Jacket TV Series Episodes out. HAHA!!!

Well in the mail today I received my 4 Lupin Gashapon figures. YAY!!!...I'm also expecting some DBZ ones soon so I'll post pictures when I get the Z ones...In addition I went out to Barnes and Noble today and picked ip Dr. Slump Volume 15 finally. Damn, I've been behind because Volume 16 just released in September. >.<

Uhg...I caught a cold from my sister...She's been out of school for the past 2 days from it and now I woke up today with it. It's getting worse as the day as progressing :(.

But anyway...I still have not ordered a new microphone for any recording...Been focusing on other fun things...HAHA!!!...I recently ordered a set of Lupin Gashapon figures from Ebay as well as a set of DragonBall Z ones. So I'm looking forward to the arrival of those soon.

But I'd like to try and get a new mic soon...Not only do I want to get back to with on ARDBZ, but I'm also starting up a project to Fan Dub the Lupin III Y Manga series. Though if you listen to the Lupin Has 3 Jackets Podcast you already know that.

Let's see...What else?...Ah...I was able to sit down and watch the just recently (Like within the past week) Fan Subbed Lupin Movies. I watched the 2008 OVA, "Green Vs.Red" yesterday and watched the 2006 TV Special, "Seven Days Rhapsody" today. I'll likely post up reviews on both some time soon. It's a shame we likely won't see much more English Dubbed Lupin, I'd love Dubs of these 2...Green Vs.Red had quite an interesting plot, I'm planning on making an AMV to it soon. I'm currently in the midst of downloading a RAW of the OVA.

Well with my mic busted and still having not ordered a new one I'm at a standstill on what to do Video wise. Since I have a back-up piece of crap mic I kind of want to do another "Gozar Speaks" Video....I'm not sure if I'm gonna do it on Webcam though...Maybe I'll just throw it together with Audio. If I wind up doing it that is.

Also I am currently locked in a battle of wits with my Ultimate Saggy Boobed nemisis. MsDBZBabe on YouTube...Or as I like to call her..."Saggy Tits McGee Schwarzenegger General Genital Wartzenberg III"...BWAHAHHAHHAHAHA!!!...Why do you post this you may ask?...Because it'll annoy the hell out of her...MWAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!!! Busted Mic + More Podcasting

As those of you who listen to the Lupin Has 3 Jackets Podcast may already know. My mic is busted again and I am forced to use my craptastic backup mic...As a result I will not be able to record any ARDBZ until I get a new mic. But that hasn't stopped me from Podcasting. Ryan and I completed Episode 4 of the Lupin Has 3 Jackets Podcast yesterday.

Man I Feel Good

You ever heard of the technique that psychiatrists use to help people deal with anger. Right and angry letter and don't send it. Ya know that whole deal?

Well I just did something similar...After my most recent Video, basically saying that the Live Action DragonBall Movie will be terrible...I've been getting a lot of comments from the people that I like to call "Idiots"...Messages telling me that the Movie will be great and I need to give it a chance. Blah Blah Blah.

Well...I'm not the type of person anymore who has heated Internet Arguments anymore with people that I just don't plain like. About 4 years ago, yeah that was totally me. But not anymore...I really stopped caring about what other people think about my opinions...But the vast amount of overly ignorant comments I got made me pretty heated.

So finally...I decided to release all that Fanboy Rage...I started up a recording...Took my mic and ranted for about 7 and a half minutes about the movie, the people who defend it...And everything in between. The rant consisted of a ton of foul language and name calling...And BOY do I feel better now. That technique really does seem to work. =D

I still have the recording...Obviously I'm NOT going to post it anywhere...But it's certainly a fun listen for me. XD

Why I Love The Buu Era

I got to thinking about this while chatting with my friend Maria tonight...A lot of people give the Buu Era a lot of bad mouthing. Saying it was the worst of all the (Canon) Z Saga's...While I do kind of agree that this is true, I still think it was an amazing Saga and FOR ME, the best way to close out DragonBall.

I'm not talking about the whole 28'th Tenkaichi Budokai and Goku flying off with Uub. I mean the Saga as a whole. It brought the Vegeta character around perfectly as well as the Goku/Vegeta relationship. Plus the ending to the main villain was the best for me.

I mean if it ended with Freeza you have Goku & Freeza both being lost in Namek's explosion. With the Cell Era you have Goku dying and Gohan saving the day. Now while both endings are very good in their own sense, they're just too sad for me. I'm really a happy ending person...I don't like watching a series and getting invested into it and then being sad at the end. The Buu Era on the other hand gave me, what I personally was looking for. Goku alive and well. Happy & smiling. And the hero. A lot of people liked the Cell Era's concept of Gohan taking over the helm but that just doesn't work for me. Gohan simply is not a warrior. He's not the right type to take over as a Hero like that. Yes he seems to get focused once he ascends to SSJ2. But it's just like Piccolo said...He's not like Goku. I like watching the man who I've watched grow up from a young boy and followed his story and quest for all this time to end the day as the hero. Not his son. But that's just me.

But also like I said before, I like the way it brings Vegeta around. Vegeta's character development was much more drawn out and extensive unlike Piccolo's. First you have him as this hardcore villain and watch him slowly start to fight along side of the Z-Fighters. Even if it was just for his own selfish desires. Then you finally see him give a rat's ass about someone in his son when Trunks is killed. That's why I love the Buu Era, it gives you Vegeta after he has that "revelation". That even though he's still this rough around the edges guy, he ultimately has grown to care about Bulma, Trunks, the entire Planet of earth. It just brings his character full circle for me.

Then you have the Goku/Vegeta relationship. I'm not really talking about Vegeta admitting that Goku's simply better than him. I'm talking about how for the first time, they work together. Against Buu, fusing. It's just like before, even though they fought on the same side. They didn't work together as a team. So their fusion was really simply gold for me. And the clincher has got to be right after Vegeta admits Goku is #1. When Vegeta is willing to risk his own life so Goku can have the time to power up. Goku's dialogue is perfect. Especially that last "Stay alive" to Vegeta.

As far as the Dub Vs.Original Japanese goes in that scene. The dialogue is pretty much the same. But I prefer the Dub...Just the way they worded it...Even though it's saying the same thing. Just the slight difference in wording coupled with Schemmel's great delivery made that scene for me.

"You died once...If anything happens to you now you won't exist anymore. There'll be nothing I can do to bring you back. Stay alive, ok?"

After a 1 month rep-ree between ARDBZ Episodes 41 & 42 I knock out 43 just 5 Days after 42...WOW!!!...Cool thing is I'm scripted all the way through Episode 45 so that's good...All I need to do is get the necessary scenes to use...But I think I'd like to get One Piece Abridged Episode 3 out before ARDBZ Episode 44...I'd like OPA3 to cover about 3 Episodes of material from the actual series. Should be some good stuff upcoming in both series. :)

Things are looking hopeful on having KaiserNeko (Creator of Lupin III Abridged and TFS' DBZ Abridged) on the next Lupin Has 3 Jacket's Podcast. I talked to him last night and as long as him and Ryan can set up a good time that's good for everyone, he should be on. Which will be a lot of fun given the topic we'll be discussing.

Madden 2008: 4'th Quarter Comeback

Man I am pumped after such a kick ass victory in Madden '08. I am playing in Season/Franchise Mode...My Giants went 15-1 in the Regular Season and I was playing the NFC Championship Game against the Rams. Some bad decisions by me early had me trailing at the half 14-3. Then some 3'rd Quarter scoring happened but come the 4'th Quarter I was trailing by as many as 18 points. I was trailing was 35-17 with about 3 and a half Minutes left. I have the ball and score a Touchdown...Now I'm only down 35-24. ONESIDE KICK TIME!!!...HOLY CRAP I RECOVER AND MARCH RIGHT DOWN THE FIELD!!! I score a TD again and now it's 35-30 and I need to o for the 2-Pt conversion...AND I NAIL IT!!!! I trail 35-32 with under 2 minutes left and only 2 Timeouts. I kick off and pray that my defense can hold the Rams. Stuff them on 1'st down...but they get a big run for 9 and a half yards on 2'nd down. My guy just got him down short of the 1'st down. So it's 3'rd and inches...I call a Goal Line play...AND STUFF THEM UP!!!! They punt to me...Now, under 1 minute left and I have no Timeouts...I start moving and get pretty well down the field. Now there's 2 seconds left and my best bet is a 48 yard Field Goal to tie...IT'S UP AND IT'S GOOD!!!! TIED 35-35...OVERTIME!!!!

Then, we win the toss. We got the ball...1'st down, I throw an incomplete pass...2'nd down, another incomplete...CRAP!!! So now I'm force to throw again on 3'rd down...I go shotgun and throw deep to Toomer...HE CATCHES!!!!...SLIPS A WOULD-BE TACKLER AND HE'S OFF TO THE RACES...30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5...TOUCHDOWN GIANTS!!!!! And I win the NFC Champisonship Game 41-35/OT. Now my Giants are off to the SuperBowl to face...Ironically...the Patriots, lol.

Need To Just Let Go...

Well, I think I've got my ideas straight for the first "How To Be A Z-Fighter" Video. One thing I've been thinking about though is coming off as someone who doesn't like DragonBall. Which of course as everyone who knows me knows...DragonBall is not only my favorite TV series/Manga, but it's basically my life (along with other Anime/Manga), lol.

I mean these videos will poke fun at certain aspects of DragonBall. But hell my ARDBZ Vids sometimes poke fun at certain aspects in DB. Most people realize that I am a fan simply because that no one would spend so much time making a parody series of a series that they disliked. Plus a lot of people also see my Fan Dubs of DB things aswell as my AMV's so that also helps. Still I'll occasionally (very rarely) get a comment on an AR thinking that I don't like DB.

So this series of "How To Be A Z-Fighter" makes me wonder if once I post one if more people will start to think that. But I've come to this conclusion...I don't know these people...So what does what they think matter to me? I know the truth and most of the people who watch my Vids know the truth. And by "most of the people who watch my Vids" I mean like 99% of them, lol. So what's that other 1% matter?

Besides, I've spent thousands of dollars on DragonBall stuff in all this time and still continue to buy DragonBall stuff just as often as I always have. My fandom has only gotten greater and greater as the years have gone on and still continues to grow...Even now as I type. I've earned the right to poke fun at certain things. XD

Fun New Video Ideas

I've been watching a bunch of Live Action Videos done on YouTube by the user "NigaHiga". They are hlarious, esspecially his 3 "How To Be" Videos (Ninja, Gangster, & Emo). When my sister told me about them I didn't think I would find them funny. I'm not typically a fan of "Gangster" & "Emo" parodies as they simply annoy me. But I found myself in tears after watching these along with his other videos.

It got me thinking...I should make some Anime related Live Action Videos. His "How to be" Videos gave me the idea of a series called "How To Be A Z-Fighter"...Along with a few other video idea rolling around in my head. It'll be interesting to see where the next few days take me.

Considering a Future Site

Well, as of recent I have been deeply getting into the "Fandom" world of DragonBall. Now by "Fandom" I mean Fanart, Fanfics, anything fan created basically. I've been wanting to start writing a few more fics (I've got a Raditz one in mind). Plus if I can slightly master the art of drawing chibi style, I'd like to draw a DBZ Parody comic similar to that of the classic DBZ Fan Comic "Little Saiya-lings". Plus I've been wanting to make more avatars and such. Plus there's my Fan Dubs. I've been storing a lot of my "Fandom" on my Trunks Shrine, but that's because it was mainly Trunks stuff. I mean I've put up Non-Trunks AMV's and ARDBZ over on the Shrine. But with myself also having the urge to draw and write about other characters aswell I feel I need a place other then the Shrine to store it all. Not that I DON'T want to draw and write Trunks because of course I still do. That will never stop. I just want to do it for the other characters aswell. So I've been pondering, when the time comes that I put all of this into action I'm going to make another site to store it all. Like a "Gozar's DB Fandom Page"...Well that's a working title, lol.

God that game was waaaay too stressful, Tynes made it far more stressful then it needed to be. Missing those 2 FG's and all.

But now the Giants are off to Arizona to face off against the Patriots in the Super Bowl. I know it's a long shot, but I think they can pull it off. They almost beat the Pats in Week 17 (Lost 38-35) but that game was in Giants Stadium where they just cannot seem to win. The Super Bown is obviously on the Road (They've now won 10 Straight Road Games). KEEP THE FAITH BABY!!!!

OK, I'm late in posting this on my Blog but...ARDBZ IS SAVED!!!! Though anyone who knows me or my Vids most likely already knows this from the Video I made about it. So...yeah, I talked to a Funimation Legal Rep and squared this whole thing out. Everything is fine and I hope to have ARDBZ #19 up on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who supported me and ARDBZ.

Now then with that said...LET'S GO GIANTS!!!! NFC Championship Game tonight...Giants Vs.Packers. I think the G-Men can really pull it off again...they've won 9 straight Road Games to date including kicking those Cowboys asses in Dallas last week.

Well today I contacted 2 Funimation Reps that I knew and sent them a letter stating my situation with ARDBZ. I linked them to the Petition of course. One of FUNi's reps (FUNHack) got back to me this Afternoon and said that he spoke with a member of the Legal team at FUNi and they said

"There was some misunderstanding as to what the videos actually were."

FUNHack went on to say that a member of the Legal Team should contact me through the Forum (As that's how I contacted FUNHack). I was hoping to have the Legal Team member contact me today but no such luck. Hopefully he'll get in contact with me tomorrow and we can sort this mess out. But things are certainly looking up with this. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

What a pain...As much as I wanna gloat about how the Giants beat the Cowboys...I've got other stuff I need to rant about.

OK, so I've been working on my Alternate Reality DBZ series for over a year now (18 Episode to date)...And now YouTube took down 4 of the Episodes. Claiming it was in violation of FUNi's Copyright...That's complete bull...It uses the clips from DragonBall, yes. But the voices are mine, I mean come on. It's not like I'm making money off of ARDBZ. Plus, the biggest slap in the face regarding this is that there's like 1,000 Full Episodes of DragonBall on YouTube...Hey, how about you try going after them instead of Parodies and AMV's.

I'm not really sure on the full cause of it's deletion though. It COULD have been Funimation directly...That's what I thought at first. Considering it specifically mentioned FUNi as opposed to just saying it was a "Terms of Service Violation". But now I'm not so sure...I think YouTube's been trying to run some Auto Deleter Mechanisms that remove Anime Episodes and clips. I know AMV's are sometimes prone to getting mixed up in that kind of stuff. It's easily possible that those 4 Vids of mine got caught up in the mix considering I split each Video up by "Episodes". The server could have read "DragonBall" & "Episode" and deleted it. Plus, if it was FUNi directly...why only 4 Episodes? Wouldn't they delete all 18? It's all very odd.

As of right now I have started up a Petition to try and send to FUNi if it IS them doing this. It's got over 800 Signatures in just about 2 days time...Gotta love my fanbase XD. I'm planning on contacting FUNi tomorrow through multiple reps of theirs and sending them the Petition. Regardless, I am getting all of my Videos over to DailyMotion as back up...Vids don't get deleted from there very often anyway. I am also going to re-post my 4 missing AR Episodes in hopes that they just got caught up in the deletion thing by accident.

I've had to go over my options...Someone who tries to preserve Anime Parody series that get deleted has already posted up the 18 Episodes of ARDBZ himself for insurance on YouTube. So atleast I know ARDBZ will be kept alive on YouTube no matter what. I also need to make sure all my viewers know that I will be hosting the current 18 Episodes aswell as New Episodes on DailyMotion. But what I've had to consider is...What to do about YouTube. If my vids continue to get deleted, what do I do? What if it is FUNi's doing? Should I fight it and keep posting on YouTube regardless until my account just gets banned. I like having that Gozar account...sure I could just re-join...But I wouldn't be able to have that username...Ah...What a mess.

But...I have gone over all the options...and I know what I'm going to do. We all know that deletion of AMV's and Parody Vids are complete bullshit...I'll just keep going until I get banned if that's what I must do. I have to...Trunks, Vegeta, & Goku would understand. You've gotta fight until the end. Then if I get banned...I have other people putting up ARDBZ...same that people continue to do with LittleKurhibo's "Yu-Gi-Oh Abriged" series...Gotta respect LittleK and that series. What a guy.

Like I said, I love the username Gozar...But if I've gotta sacrifice it to defend what I believe in...Then so be in.

I'm reminded of a quote from Kuwabara (from YYH)...

And that's the case here...I don't want to lose the account. But if my series IS being targeted...It's unfair and I've gotta just keep going until my account is deleted (If it is).
